DANCE GAVIN DANCE VOCALIST TILIAN PEARSON "STEPPING AWAY" FOLLOWING SEXUAL MISCONDUCT ALLEGATIONS

Post-hardcore group to proceed with scheduled tours and ongoing album rollout


After a slew of accusations of sexual misconduct surfaced online in the last few days, Dance Gavin Dance announced that vocalist Tilian Pearson would be "stepping away" from the band (you can read two here and here). To honour the memory of their late bassist Tim Feerick, the post-hardcore veterans wrote that despite Pearson's indefinite hiatus from the group, they'll still be releasing their upcoming album, Jackpot Juicer, which is due out in September.

An internal meeting has been held to discuss how to respond to the recent allegations against Tilian, which were taken "extremely seriously."


"Tilian has announced that he will be leaving the band immediately in order to seek professional assistance. All of Jon's upcoming tours, including those with Will, Matt, and Andrew, will go on as planned. Jackpot Juicer will also be released as planned by the band. We all put in a lot of time and effort on this album, and since it's Tim's final recorded work, we want to honour his memory by releasing it to its full potential."
